CE CERTIFICATES NO LONGER AVAILABLE EFFECTIVE JULY 27TH, 2021
Effective July 27th, 2021, our CE co-sponsor Commonwealth Educational Seminars has lost its APA co-sponsorship.
- If you downloaded your certificate prior to July 27th, 2021, your certificate is still a viable indication of CEs for the course.
- If you downloaded your certificate on or after July 27th, 2021, your certificate is null and void.
- If you have not downloaded your certificate for the course, you will no longer be able to obtain a certificate for CEs.
We realize that this is a big change, and CEs might be one of the main reasons you purchased our course. Here is what we are doing to remedy this for our courses and members:
- We are looking at new co-sponsors to provide CEs for this course in the near future. We cannot say how long this will take, only that we will notify you once we are approved and you can gain CEs.
- We are providing refunds to those affected by this change. To see if you are eligible for this refund, please check out our FAQ page or email support@therapywisdom.com.
If you would like to discuss this further, please email support@therapywisdom.com.

Research has shown that it is the relationship with the practitioner, regardless of therapeutic orientation, that often makes the biggest difference in successful treatment outcomes. Embodied therapeutic presence is a central resource in clinical work. Learning to orient to the steadiness that is inherent in each person’s core helps practitioners create a steady and reliable relational space within which sessions can unfold. Because of this, it is important for practitioners to be able to maintain and return to a grounded, steady, embodied presence when working with clients.
Another essential element is for the practitioner to maintain an awareness that each client has within them an inherent “blueprint for health”, as well as their own core presence. Through orienting to heart-based awareness, practitioners can resonate with their own underlying wholeness as well as that of their clients.
An additional element is to cultivate and support reliable access to the present-day observer. For both practitioners and clients, it’s useful to be able to track and notice when the observer has slipped into the background of awareness and needs to be invited back into the foreground.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be better able to:
- Identify two or more strategies to affect their own core steadiness, more readily allowing them to establish an increasingly reliable embodied therapeutic presence.
- Explain how the “heart perception and intelligence” can function as an additional source of resonance and information when working with clients.
- Utilize two or more “foreground/background” dynamics as a way to connect with and support present-day, adult observer awareness, a sense of wholeness, and a return to regulation.
